News about emojis

With today's release of Unicode 9.0 there are 72 new emojis! Amongst others the update provides new emojis within the categories Animals & Nature, Food & Drink and Activities. When seeing them first the emoji "Lying Face" and its obvious reference to Pinocchio evoked a big grin. The 72 new emojis can be viewed on Unicode.org.

According to Emojipedia the new emojis will be supported by various vendors later this year.
